The East Coast Greenway is a walking and cycling trail system from Maine to Florida, covering over 3,000 miles! It connects 15 states and 450 communities, helping people enjoy healthy and active lifestyles, sustainable transportation, and climate resilience.
The Alliance is a nonprofit organization that leads the development of the trail network and coordinates with volunteers, partner organizations, and officials to continue moving the route on to protected paths.

IMBA is the worldwide leader in mountain bike advocacy and the only US organization entirely focused on trails and access. Its vision is that everyone from people in urban centers to rural communities have access to places to ride mountain bikes, and that’s a pretty great vision if we may say so! Rail-trails are multipurpose public paths created from former railroad corridors, and are generally flat or gradually sloping, making them a great easily-accessible ways for all types of people to enjoy the outdoors. For over 30 years, the Rails to Trails Conservancy has been working with national and local governments to advocate for the creation and maintenance of these paths.
